according to base officials.

The pilot, Capt. Webb H. Huss, Jr., of XXXXX N. Xxxxxx St.

Lake Ozette. He was plucked from the lake by a powerboat and
later returned to McChord in a helicopter from Paine Field.

McChord officials said that they lost radio and radar contact
with Huss who was on a routine training flight about noon.
